Is this also projected or "air drawn?"

Projected. They are really addictive; you can build a cheap one or buy from china for about/less than $300 depending on price hunting and what quality parts you use. It's much better to use clean diodes than extracting them from things, but sometimes you can find a projector/bluray burner that is so cheap that pulling them is worth it. Gotta be able to solder good though, which I can but not very neatly.

If you really want to get into for cheap, this is the brain of what I'm using: www.aliexpress.com/item/LH-LAS…

All you'd need after that are lasers and drivers (and drawing software) so $200 is about the bottom end to do this type of stuff and I could help you on those questions. But if you want to do true show-designing, you're looking at an easy grand for a projector and anywhere from $200-2000 for computer integration and software suites (and you should def listen to lunaphase and not me on that).

TBH, I may end up selling everything I have because I want more but don't have enough money as it is and this is not a money-friendly hobby.
